About Dr Hazem Khout
A leading name in breast oncoplastic surgery
Dr Hazem Khout is a prominent consultant specializing in oncoplastic breast surgery, with Nottingham serving as his base of operations. His vast expertise encompasses a diverse array of areas within breast surgery, including breast cancer treatment, cosmetic breast surgery, benign breast conditions, immediate and delayed breast reconstruction, therapeutic mammoplasty, chest wall flaps, and lipofilling.
Having embarked on his professional journey in 1998, Mr. Khout completed his general surgery training before achieving fellowship status with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. Subsequently, he furthered his specialization by undertaking a rigorous breast oncoplastic fellowship at the Edinburgh Breast Unit, refining his skills in the field.
Since 2013, Mr. Khout has been dedicated to his role as a consultant breast oncoplastic surgeon. Notably, he assumed a pivotal position at the Nottingham Breast Institute in 2015 and was additionally appointed by Public Health England as a professional clinical advisor for the breast screening program in the East Midlands, highlighting his commitment to advancing public health initiatives.
In addition to his clinical endeavors, Mr. Khout is deeply invested in education and research. He has a fervent passion for educating undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, earning fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy in the UK by 2010. Furthermore, he actively pursues research interests in innovative technologies for oncoplastic breast surgery, breast care genetics, and breast cancer survivorship.
Mr. Khout co-founded the Nottingham Breast care clinic (NBC) at Nottingham Spire Hospital as a testament to his commitment to improving patient care. He also leads various projects within both the NHS and private sectors, including the pioneering Oncoplastic Forum (OPF) at the Nottingham Breast Institute, which aims to deliver personalized surgical plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Operating within a collaborative team of oncoplastic and plastic surgeons, advanced breast practitioners, and specialist breast nurses, Mr. Khout provides comprehensive care at his private practice based at Spire Nottingham.
